The entire country has been locked down since March 24 in the wake of the Corona virus. Any activity during lockdown was restricted. Kannada film shooting will resume amid the Covid pandemic. But no new cinema shooting to start.
Even film and television serial shoot were also stalled due to which Sandalwood industry were in crisis. On Monday, the Karnataka Government approved by allowing outdoor shoot.
The Minister of Home Affairs as of June 1, has announced relaxations and has prohibited activities in the first phase of unlocking, except in the containment zone which will be phased out.
The state government has given orders to the Kannada film fraternity on permiting shooting for the films. Through this, Both cinema’s and television serial technicians have been given the opportunity to start their work.
While the decision by state government to allow shoot and post-production work with all safety measures has given a sigh of relief to entire Sandalwood industry. However, the directive has been issued with strict instructions that the Covid-19 guidelines must comply with MHA order.

This news brings a relief to thousands of artists and technicians of the film fraternity. There are many films which are stopped in its shooting stage and post production stage. Also big movies of star actors will resume its shoot.
