The much-awaited film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups, starring Rocking Star Yash, has made headlines with an exciting update. The film has been confirmed to be a bilingual production, being simultaneously shot in Kannada and English, marking a first-of-its-kind milestone in Indian cinema.
Directed by Geethu Mohandas, Toxic is being crafted to appeal to an international audience. Alongside Kannada and English, the film will also be dubbed into multiple Indian and global languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
Sharing insights about the ambitious project, director Geethu Mohandas stated, “We have tried to capture the nuances of the story in both Kannada and English. Toxic will offer a unique experience to audiences across different languages and cultures. This film is a journey that transcends borders, languages, and cultural boundaries, connecting both heart and mind.”
Adding to the grandeur, Toxic’s action sequences will be choreographed by JJ Perry, the globally renowned action director known for his work in Hollywood blockbusters like John Wick and Fast & Furious. The bilingual nature of the project demands extensive preparation and a longer shooting schedule, making it one of the most expensive Indian productions to date.
While Yash is confirmed as the lead, the rest of the cast remains under wraps. Speculations suggest that Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Kiara Advani, and Huma Qureshi might be part of the project, though no official confirmation has been made by the film’s team.
With its unique storytelling approach, high-octane action, and international appeal, Toxic is poised to be a game-changer for Indian cinema on the global stage.
