The third movie directed by Director Santhosh Kumar of ‘Bindaas Googly’ fame comprises three newcomers – Arya, Aarthi and Sahana Gowda. While the movie has been titled Campus Kranti, and the shooting to commence from September.
Amidst the Covid pandemic, the Sandalwood movie makers have utilised the lockdown time in pursuing their next movie projects. One such, is Campus Kranthi movie by writer and director Santhosh Kumar, who has recorded 4 songs of the movie even before the movie shoot starts.
The debut movie directed by Santhosh Kumar RS was Students and second one Bindaas Googly, which was a musical entertainer with dance backdrop and produced by Vijay Sadanand.
Director Santhosh said, “This is a story related to an incident where in the Karnataka and Maharastra border a place stops celebrating Kannada Rajyotsava on November 1. The reason behind the story is revolved and connected with a group of college students. So i felt Campus Kranthi is the right title for the movie.”
He added, We have planned to start shooting for the movie in the first week of September. The locations for shoot is decided, it will be in Gokak, Dhoodsagar, Bangalore and many more.
A total of 4 songs are recorded with singers Chetan Naik, Ashwin Sharma, RJ Mega Barot Hubballi, Manasi, Mamtha Lakshmi and R J Siri of 93.5 FM.
Out of the four songs, lyrics for one song is written by Santhosh Kumar and other 3 by V Manohar. Also the starcast has newbies Arya, Aarthi and Sahana Gowda in the lead roles. While senior artists Achyuth Kumar and Rama Krishna are playing a major role in the movie. The cinematographer is Shiv Kumar of Radhava movie fame.
