There has been a significant growth in the Sandalwood Drugs scandal. It is learned that actress Ragini Dwivedi has been arrested in connection with the case.
CCB police have intensified their investigation over the past few days in connection with drug dealing in Sandalwood.
CCB police, on the other hand, have succeeded in arresting the main accused in the Drugs Network case. The detainee has been identified as Delhi-based Viren Khanna, who is currently in the process of organizing some of the biggest parties. Khanna, an event manager, was based in Bangalore. He has now been arrested by the CCB police in Delhi. He is being brought to Bengaluru by inspectors Sridhar Pujar and Lakshmikantaih.
When the CCB police arrested Ravi Shankar, a close friend of actress Ragini Dwivedi, and subjected him to an intense inquiry. Only then the information on Ragini’s involvement in drug dealing was available.
The CCB police then issued a notice to Ragini on Wednesday morning to attend the hearing. Ragini, however, had told the police that she would attend the hearing on Monday on alien grounds.
However, in a rapid development this morning, CCB officials carried out a raid on Ragini’s home. The CCB officials later took Ragini to trial. After seven consecutive hours of interrogation, CCB police have finally arrested Ragini.
The actress was arrested by the police at the CCB office in Chamarajapet in the evening after an intense investigation. Fearing arrest, Ragini had gone to the city civil court through his lawyers and filed an application for bail. ACP Gautam had held the interrogation of the actress Ragini in the drug case.
Also reports of Ragini possesing ganga at her house in ciggarate was seized by cops, as per a print media report. However, Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of police (Crime) confirmed her arrest. Total 3 arrested in the case till now.
According to Kamal Pant, police commissioner, they have registered a case in Cottonpet police station in connection with the drug abuse. They say they have got information of many people involved in the drug peddling and drug consuming, they will take further necessary action in the case. He said, we conducted raid on the house of the actress before subjecting her for interrogation.
The CCB police are likely to appeal to the court through a video conference, for a further hearing. Only after the actress is been subjected to a medical examination.
