The National award-winning filmmaker Pawan Wadeyar was honored by non-resident Kannadigas. Also the IIMF logo was unveiled by the popular director Pawan Wadeyar.
Pawan Wadeyar who has given Kannada cinema lovers many popular films including ‘Govindaya Namaha’, ‘Googly’, ‘Rana Vikrama’, ‘Natasaarvabhowma’, has now made waves with his latest film ‘Dollu’, which has garnered attention and praise on a national level, ‘Dollu’ had a very good festival run, winning several accolades. ‘Dollu’ won the Best Kannada Film at the 68th National Awards.
Everyone has embraced this story of folk art that is dying in today’s times. This movie, which was appreciated by audiences ranging from cinephiles to political leaders, was produced by Pawan Wadeyar under his banner ‘Wadeyar Movies’ along with his wife Apeksha Purohit at the helm. Star director Pawan Wadeyar, who has produced such a different story amidst the clamor of commercial movies, has been honored by the non-resident Kannadigas of Dubai.
Peter Jason, Rashmi Peter, Mamata Sinthal, and several other non-resident Kannadigas residing in Dubai have united their passion for cinema to form Team Supreme. Under this organization, the best artists of the Indian film industry are recognized and awarded through the International Film Festival of India-Sandalwood-2023 (IIMF) program. Director Pawan Wadeyar and dialogue writer Masthi of ‘Tagaru’ and ‘Salaga’ fame, participated in the IIMF logo launch program held on 16th of this month. Both of them, who have carved out their own niche in the film industry, launched the IIMF logo and wished Team Supreme.
Director and producer Pawan Wadeyar expressed his delight and called it a momentous occasion. The fact that non-resident Kannadigas living abroad recognized their work has brought him immense joy, and he couldn’t be happier. He expressed his pride in having produced ‘Dollu’.
Pavan Wadeyar has also finished wrapping up his Hindi debut Notary. Starring Bengali star Parambrata Chatterjee and Harbhajan Singh’s wife, actress Geeta Basra. This film, which is being produced in collaboration with Kaash Entertainment Production, Wadeyar Movies and Arna Creatives Media, has created huge expectations.
