Actor Rishi, known for choosing unconventional storylines, is back with another distinct project. Currently busy with multiple film commitments, Rishi has given the green signal for a new venture in collaboration with a team from Mangaluru. The film will be directed by Ranjith Raj Suvarna, who previously tasted success in the Tulu film industry with movies like Umil and Dombarata.
Titled Mangalapuram, the makers have officially revealed the film’s title and first look poster. Starring alongside Rishi is Abhimanyu Kashinath, son of veteran actor Kashinath. This marks the first on-screen collaboration between Rishi and Abhimanyu.
Mangalapuram is set to be a gripping murder mystery that unfolds in a small town, exploring themes of faith, superstition, ritual practices, and miracles. The film is being produced by Vidwan||Prasanna Tantri Moodbidri and Ram Prasad, both of whom are stepping into the film industry as first-time producers.
The team plans to begin shooting in June, with filming scheduled in Karkala, Thirthahalli, Madikeri, and around Bengaluru. Music will be composed by Anoop Seelin, while Abhishek Kasargod will handle cinematography. With the intriguing first look now revealed, the team is eager to wrap up production and bring Mangalapuram to audiences as soon as possible.
