The much-anticipated Kannada film Sutradhari, featuring music sensation Chandan Shetty in his debut as a lead actor, is set for release on May 9. The film is produced by Navarasan under the banner of Eagle Media Creations and directed by Kiran Kumar. With a positive response to its teaser, trailer, and songs, expectations are high for this unique cinematic venture.
The grand pre-release event for Sutradhari was recently held, with Crazy Star Ravichandran and Karunada Chakravarthy Shivarajkumar attending as chief guests. The event also saw the presence of industry stalwarts such as producers Ramesh Reddy, Sanjay Gowda, and the entire film crew.
Speaking at the event, Ravichandran praised Navarasan’s passion as a producer and shared his enthusiasm for the film’s trailer. “I’ve known Navarasan for years—he always carries a smile and dedication to his work. A producer must love his film deeply, and this event is a testament to that. Chandan Shetty is stepping into acting, and the trailer looks promising. I’m confident the film will be just as refreshing,” he said.
Shivarajkumar, expressing his admiration for Chandan Shetty’s music, said, “I’m a fan of his songs and often find myself humming them. It’s great to see him debuting as a hero. I wish the team all the very best and look forward to watching the film.”
Producer Navarasan expressed heartfelt gratitude to both stars, saying, “Having Ravichandran sir and Shivanna here means the world to us. On May 1, we screened the film for a group including auto drivers, and their feedback helped us refine the final version. We’re excited to present Sutradhari to audiences on May 9.”
Lead actor Chandan Shetty reflected on fulfilling his father’s dream, stating, “My father always wished to see me as a hero. That dream is coming true. I can’t describe how emotional it is to have legends like Shivanna and Ravichandran bless our film.”
The event also featured speeches from director Kiran Kumar, lead actress Apoorva, veteran actors Tabala Nani and Ramesh, cinematographer PKH Das, and dialogue writer Kinnal Raj, all sharing their experiences and hopes for Sutradhari’s success.
