The noted Kannada movie actress Leelavati passed away on Friday evening due to age-related disease.
Recently, The actress Leelavati was admitted to the hospital due to her health problems. As per the reports, actress health was improving for the last two days. The problem of low BP started suddenly this afternoon. She was immediately admitted to a private hospital in Nelamangala. However, Leelavati died without responding to the doctors treatment.
The actress who acted in more than 600 movies passed away after suffering from severe illness for the past few months. Leelavati served the film industry for 50 years. She was 87 years old.
Acting with actors like industry stalwarts Rajkumar, Vishnuvardhan and others, she had her own fan following and craze among all age groups. Fans, celebrities and political elites have mourned the death of Leelavathi, who had acted in more than 600 films. Leelavati was recognized not only through acting but also through social work. She is survived by her son Vinod Raj.
Actress Leelavati lived with her son Vinod Raj near Soladevanahalli in Nelamangala. She stayed away from the cinema and was engaged in agricultural work. Vinod Raj is also doing agricultural work. After learning about Leelavati’s illness, many people from the Kannada film industry came to Soladevanahalli to inquire about her health. Actor Shivarajkumar and his wife Geeta Shivarajkumar, Darshan, Abhishek Ambarish, Arjun Sarja, DK Shivakumar, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and many others came and gave moral support to Vinod Raj.

For the same reason, she had built an veterinary hospital near Soladevanahalli with her own money. The hospital was recently inaugurated.
