Kannada actress and producer Sharmiela Mandre has announced her engagement to acclaimed Tamil film producer Sudhan Sundaram. The couple exchanged rings in an intimate ceremony attended by close family members and friends.

The engagement was held in an elegant setting adorned with white floral décor and contemporary aesthetics, reflecting the couple’s love for cinema and tradition. The ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter for two well-known personalities from the South Indian film industry.

Sharmiela Mandre made her acting debut in Kannada cinema with Sajni (2007) and went on to feature in several successful films, including Krishna, Navagraha, Swayamvara, Aake, Gaalipata 2, Powder, and Devil. Having acted in more than 35 films, she has also established herself as a producer through Sharmiela Mandre Productions, backing content-driven cinema.

Sudhan Sundaram is the founder of the reputed Tamil production house Passion Studios. As a producer, he has delivered several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, including Kappal, Nibunan, Seethakathi, Annabelle Sethupathi, the National Award-winning Parking, and the blockbuster Maharaja starring Vijay Sethupathi. He is widely recognised for supporting unique and meaningful storytelling.
