Actor Kiccha Sudeepa released the trailer for the realistic revenge drama Maryade Prashne, stating, “I really liked the trailer. It was cut in a way that reveals plenty yet leaves you curious. The film seems unique, and the work done in every department is excellent. I am proud of the direction Kannada Film Industry is heading in.”
The trailer of ‘Maryade Prashne’ has been receiving appreciation from all corners. Over 300 personalities, including RJs, singers, actors, doctors, lawyers, and entrepreneurs, have shared their admiration for the trailer on social media.
Support from Young Kannada Filmmakers: Emerging Kannada directors known for their contributions to the new wave of Kannada cinema, such as Shashank Soghal, Sindhu Srinivas Murthy, Nithin Krishnamurthy, Umesh K Krupa, Ramanahalli Jagannath, Srinidhi Bengaluru, Sandeep Sunkada, Chandrajith Belliappa, Raj Guru Bheemappa, M Bharath Raj, BSP Varma, Utsav Gonwar, Jaishankar Aryar, Sunil Mysuru, Akarsh HP, Vikki Varun, Sagar Puranik, Prateek Prajosh, and many more, attended the trailer launch to extend their best wishes to the Maryade Prashne team. So many young directors gathered in one place to support the film, inspiring a new confidence in the media about the future of Kannada cinema.
Speaking at the event, the film’s director Nagaraja Somayaji said, “People love stories from their surroundings. When a story is told with authenticity, it feels closer to the audience. Kannada audiences have never failed to support good Kannada films, which is why Kannada cinema is reaching audiences globally. For actors, instead of teaching acting, if we make them understand the essence of the story’s context, they will take us to new heights.”
The producer of the film, RJ Pradeepa From Sakkath Studio said “Sakkath Studio has always believed in stories that are refreshing, rooted, relatable, realistic and package and present those native stories from our kannada land to world audience. We are confident about our first step ‘Maryade Prashne’ and wish to produce atleast 2 projects per year that can spark conversations and inspire and touch many hearts.”
The trailer, already garnering a positive response, can now be watched on Sakkath Studio’s YouTube channel.
The cast of Maryade Prashne includes Teju Belawadi, Sunil Rao, Poornachandra Mysuru, Rakesh Adiga, Shine Shetty, and Prabhu Mundkur. Veteran actors like Nagabharana, Prakash Tumbinadu, Nandagopal, Nagendra Sha, Rekha Kundligi, Shravan, and Hariharan also play key roles.
The film has five songs, with two already released. Arjun Ramu has composed music for all the songs, with lyrics by Pramod Maravante and Trilok Trivikram. Sandeep Velluri, who has previously worked on Gowli and Charlie, is the cinematographer. The trailer is set to release on November 12.
Produced by Sakkath Studio, led by RJ Pradeepa, who previously gained attention with web series Loose Connection and Honeymoon, the film’s story is written by Pradeepa himself, with screenplay, dialogues, and direction by Nagaraj Somayaji. Maryade Prashne is scheduled to release in theaters on November 22.
