The much-anticipated collaborative production by PRK Productions, Jayanna Films, and KRG Studios, titled Ekka, commenced its journey today with an auspicious Muhurtha ceremony held at Shri Bande Makalamma Temple.
The event witnessed the gracious presence of the producers from all three prestigious banners, alongside the film’s director, cast, and crew. Adding a personal and symbolic touch to the occasion, Shylaja Vijay, wife of Vijay Kirgandur, performed the ceremonial clapboard honors. The first shot was helmed by Daali Dhananjaya, while the camera was ceremonially switched on by Vijayalakshmi Ramakrishna, mother of Karthik Gowda.
The film’s shooting has officially begun today and will span various picturesque and urban locations, including Kashmir, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai, among others.
Sharing his excitement, Director Rohit Padaki said, “I am happy to take on the responsibility of this mega project. I will work towards the faith placed in me by the three producers, the Kannada audience, Yuva Rajkumar, and his followers. This film will strike a deep emotional chord and deliver raw, intense storytelling.”
The film’s lead actor, expressed his gratitude, Yuva Rajkumar stated, “With the blessings of Goddess Mahakali and Appu Chikkappa, we have commenced Ekka. It is a privilege to work with three premium production houses and Rohit Padaki sir, a versatile director. I am confident this project will leave a lasting impact.”

The stellar cast includes Yuva Rajkumar, Sampaada, Atul Kulkarni, Shruthi Krishna, Rahul Dev Shetty, and others. The music is composed by Charan Raj, while the story is penned by Rohit Padaki and Vikram Hathwar, with lyrics by V Nagendra Prasad, Nagarjun Sharma, Daali Dhananjaya, and Rohit Padaki.
The technical team includes Sathya Hegde (Director of Photography), Deepu S Kumar (Editor), Vishwas Kashyap (Production Design), and fight choreographers Arjun Raj and Chethan D’Souza.
Produced under the banners of PRK Productions (Smt. Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar), Jayanna Films (Jayanna and Bhogendra), and KRG Studios (Karthik Gowda and Yogi G Raj), EKKA is slated for a theatrical release on 6th June 2025.
