Actress Chandini Ssasha is mourning the loss of Manjunath (Silk Manju), the producer of her debut film, A, and a deeply personal influence on her early journey in cinema. Remembering him as kind, humble and caring, Chandini says his warmth and support made her feel like part of a family and shaped her first steps in the industry.

Chandini fondly recalls how Manjunath looked after her and her parents when she entered the film industry as a young girl. The warmth and protection extended by him and the entire A unit strengthened her belief that the film industry could be a wonderful place, built on genuine human connections.

In his final days, Chandini rushed to Bengaluru to visit him in hospital. Through her tears, she smiled at him, and he smiled back—a deeply moving moment that brought to mind A’s evergreen song, “Sum Sumne Nagthale.”

Although she feels Manjunath deserved greater recognition for his contribution to the blockbuster, Chandini believes his greatest success was the affection and respect he earned through his kindness.

“Success is not just about wealth and power, but the relationships we build and how we are remembered in this life before God,” she reflects.

As the timeless music of A continues to touch generations, Chandini hopes Manjunath’s legacy will inspire many more. She also hopes to help keep his dream of A Part 2 alive, while offering her heartfelt prayers and condolences to his children and family.

For Chandini, Manjunath will always be more than the producer of her first film—a cherished human connection whose kindness will live on in her heart.
