The KNS Queens Premier League (QPL) Season 2 concluded with a dazzling finale at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium, where the Shimoga Queens emerged as champions after a dominant performance across 12 sporting categories. India’s first multi-sport celebrity league, which ran for a week, showcased the energy of women athletes, the glamour of Kannada entertainment personalities and the rising popularity of celebrity-driven sports events.
Shimoga sealed the championship with commanding victories in eight events, including Tug of War, Badminton, Pickleball and Lagori, highlighting their consistency throughout the season. The team, owned by Suresh Gowda from Hennur and led by captain Bhavana Rao, delivered strong performances across the board with contributions from Dr Akshata Kulkarni, Priyanka Kamath, Spoorthy Gowda, Shruthi Venkatesh, Geetha P, Surekha Kulkarni, Vindhya Rangaswamy, Raniya Shruthi, Manya Gowda, Manasa Guruswami, Gamana G. Gowda, Ragashree B.G., Shruthi C., Vaishnavi B. and Rakshika Shetty.
The grand finale drew a packed audience and a strong celebrity presence. Sandalwood star Ramya, the face of QPL Season 2, graced the closing ceremony and joined Former MLA Sowmya Reddy and Karnataka Transport & Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy to present the trophy. Her arrival added star power to the evening, which celebrated the sporting spirit and achievements of women athletes. Addressing the crowd, Ramya congratulated all participating teams and expressed excitement for Season 3, praising the determination and discipline displayed throughout the tournament.

The Hassan Queens, owned by Herbcience Director Roopa D.N. and led by actress Shanvi Srivastava, finished runners-up after a close contest, missing the championship by only three points. They impressed with standout performances in chess, basketball and go-karting. The Bellary Queens, captained by Dhanya Ramkumar, secured third place after maintaining consistency across multiple events and staying in contention until the final day.
One of the biggest attractions of the finale was the cricket match, which offered World Cup-level excitement. The Mangaluru Queens defeated the Belagavi Queens in a nail-biting last-ball finish, defending four runs off the final delivery. Shimoga added to the thrill of the evening by clinching the Tug of War finals with an overpowering display of strength and coordination.
The league’s smooth execution was led by founders Mahesh Kumar, Pramod Shetty, Santhosh Billava, Prem Mallur and Chetan Pareek, with key support from core team members Ameet Joshi, Bharath Anjanappa, Yogitha Gowda, Akhil, Amrutha Murthy, Panchakshari and Ashwin.

With 10 celebrity-driven teams and participation across more than a dozen sports, the Queens Premier League has quickly evolved into a flagship platform promoting women’s empowerment through sports and entertainment. Season 2 reaffirmed QPL’s position as a unique blend of fitness, glamour and competitive spirit. As the Shimoga Queens lifted the trophy to roaring applause, the message resonated strongly—QPL is more than a tournament; it is a movement redefining how celebrity sports are celebrated in India.
