HM Krishnamurthy (Jedralli Krishnappa), renowned for his social work and affectionately known as Abhinava Kempegowda, has launched a new song titled “Naadasimha Kempegowda”. The grand event took place recently at the Kannada Sahitya Parishat.
Krishnamurthy, who produced the song and also portrayed the role of Kempegowda, was joined by notable figures including J.K. Sharma Guruji, actor Vasishta Simha, veteran actor Ashok, director T.S. Nagabharana, Karnataka Film Producers Association president Umesh Banakar, actors Dharma, Tabla Nani, Ninasam Ashwath, and producer Sanjay Gowda. They all gathered to release the song and extend their best wishes.
In his speech, Krishnamurthy expressed his admiration for Kempegowda, stating, “I am a devotee of Kempegowda. His contributions to Bangalore and the surrounding areas are immense. This song is a tribute to his memory. It is the first time I have portrayed Kempegowda on screen. The song, which highlights Kempegowda’s legacy, has been released on our AKG YouTube channel. I am grateful to all the dignitaries who helped launch the song.”
The song was penned by K. Ramnarayan and composed by Sridhar V. Sambhram. Shankar Mahadevan and Anuradha Bhat lent their voices, while choreography was handled by Bajarangi Mohan. Cinematography was by Krishna Kumar and editing by Puneet.
Krishnamurthy elaborated, “The song features appearances by T.S. Nagabharana, Vinayaprasad, Dharma, Ninasam Ashwath, Muni, H. Vasu, and Victory Vasu. It showcases places around Bangalore established by Kempegowda, which we will introduce through our YouTube channel. Plans are also underway to make a movie about Kempegowda. I extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this song magnificent and splendid.”
The launch event marked a significant cultural celebration, honoring the legacy of Kempegowda through music and film.
