The makers of Kannada epic historical war film Muniratna’s ‘Kurukshetra’ finally announced the movie release dates.
On Saturday, Muniratna the producer of Muniratna’s Kurukshetra revealed that the film will be released in multiple languages on 9 August . After 2 years of hard work from the team to give a quality movie with technically strong inputs it has come out really well, claims its producer, Munirathna.
The film starring Darshan will be centered on Duryodhana, a Kaurava king and it is based on the poem Gadhayuddha by Ranna. The Darshan starrer will be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Producers took the decision after the huge success of Yash starrer ‘KGF Chapter 1’ which was also released in multiple languages and went on to become the biggest earner in the history of Kannada cinema worldwide.
‘Kurukshetra’ is based on the Indian epic Mahabharata and it is written by J. K. Bharavi and directed by Naganna. It is produced on a huge budget by Muniratna Naidu.
This film is Darshan’s 50th film and it will be released in both 2D and 3D. V Harikrishna has composed music for the film.
The film stars an ensemble cast including Darshan, Ambarish, V. Ravichandran, Arjun Sarja, Nikhil Gowda, Sneha, Meghana Raj, Sonu Sood, Srinivasa Murthy, Danish Akhtar Saifi, Ravishankar and Hariprriya depicting characters from Mahabharata.
Clash of other big movies in August – Sudeep’s Pailwaan and Avane Srimanarayana
There are already movies of stars Kiccha Sudeep’ Pailwaan who have announced the release date of their movie on Varamahalakshmi festival. Also Avane Srimanarayana have been waiting to release in August, whereas Rakshit Shetty has not appeared in lead role after his hit movie Kirik Party.
We have to wait and watch for all the big releases entertaining the audience on big screen. Already kannada movies are facing issues of theatres with more number of other telugu, tamil and hindi movies are given theatres.
