“Gowri” Set to Debut on August 15

In an eventful announcement, Indrajit Lankesh, renowned journalist, director, and producer, revealed that his son Samarjit Lankesh’s debut film “Gowri” will hit the theaters on August 15. The release coincides with both India’s Independence Day and the Varamahalakshmi festival, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere.

Speaking at the event, Indrajit Lankesh expressed his excitement about the upcoming release. “Our ‘Gowri’ team has been touring across Karnataka, and we are overwhelmed by the support from the media and fans. The film, already popular for its songs, will be released statewide on August 15. We chose this date because it aligns with multiple holidays, including Varamahalakshmi, Independence Day, and Raksha Bandhan. Samarjit Lankesh, the lead actor, shared his thoughts on his debut. “Just like my father said, everywhere we go, we receive positive responses for our film.
